Mrs. Nees, Media Specialist
The 2021-2022 school year will be my eleventh year working as a media specialist. Prior to coming to Pleasant Knoll Middle School, I was the media specialist at Doby's Bridge Elementary and Sugar Creek Elementary, both in Fort Mill. I have a bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Gerontology from UNCC and a Master of Library and Information Studies from UNCG. I choose to become a media specialist because it gives me the opportunity to help students develop a love of reading while having an impact on their overall academic achievement. That choice turned out to be a perfect fit for my interests, I love my job! Currently, I live in Charlotte, N.C. with my husband and two sons who are 21 and 18.
